TMO: Becca Ocean Jewels

Now, I thought I would do a quick TMO not because I really am trying to stave off the urge to buy this palette. On the contrary. I wanted to do a write-up on this palette because it has become pretty clear that Becca does not know what it wants to do with eye palettes.

I mean, first the Jaclyn Hill scandal, then the Apres Ski stupidity, and now we get....the Ocean Jewels palette.

Hm.

It looks like this:

Wow. Ocean Jewels, huh? So a ton of browns, that's pretty evocative of the ocean....

So let's do a quick run-down of what this palette copped from. 

1. The Rainforest of the Sea palettes, Tarte. The originators of interpreting Ocean themes as light brown neutrals. Yay. 
2. Huda Desert Dusk palette, specifically the Twilight shade. Not an uncommon duochrome, but still very recognizable, and associated with that palete. 
3. The Huda Desert Dusk palette in Retrograde, or Colourpop Glass Bull. Or Coastal Scents Cherry Moss....you know, that very common blue-green duochrome pigment. 

The other shadows are a shimmery taupe, a shimmery gold, a shimmery white, and a cream matte and a cream brown. 

Becca is really out here struggling with eye palettes. I predict this will be released and then discounted very quickly. 

Don't buy it, people. Just don't.
