This was a kind of random purchase, to be honest. I had a bit of a mini-emergency where I did not have access to my makeup bag, but needed to attend an event. I already was wearing makeup for a full day, but desperately needed a touch-up. Not wanting to buy a full bottle of foundation, I grabbed the Maybelline Fit Me stick foundation in its lightest shade, Porcelain (110), for $7.00.
I have combination, fair cool-toned skin. I get especially dry in the winter. As such, I have been favoring light coverage looks, using primarily concealer and very minimal foundation. The foundation I currently have in rotation is the Fenty Pro Filter, which has been settling into my pores lately.
I am going to be quick about this review- I have been wearing this foundation for a couple of days in a row now. I think the shade match is excellent, and overall the Fit Me line agrees with me, color wise. I find this foundation pleasant, too. It goes on the skin smoothly and has a powdery feel to it. It blends out easily, and has a dry/matte finish. I have used both a brush and fingers to apply it to my face. Overall, I quite like this foundation.
However, if you are looking for a high coverage foundation that is durable, this is not it. It does provide coverage, but does not last the whole day on me. I will say that it wears away, gracefully, though.
At this point, I am going to happily keep using it. It feels light on my skin, but I only use it on my cheeks, which are more red than the rest of my face. I do not use it on my forehead, chin, and nose, which are the areas of my face that get the oiliest.
Given the particular way I use this foundation, and my skin-type and preferences, it works for me. But if you are looking for a foundation with a different objective in mind, I would look elsewhere.
Onto the swatches:
